Four Redbird Football Games To Be Broadcast on Marquee Sports Network

CHICAGO, Ill. – Illinois State Football will continue to maintain its television footprint in the Chicago media market with a new four-game agreement between Redbird Sports Properties and Marquee Sports Network to broadcast ISU home games during the 2023 Redbird football season. All six contests will also be simulcast live on ESPN3/+ as part of the Missouri Valley Football Conference's broadcast agreement. Longtime television voice of Redbird football Kurt Pegler will once again serve as the play-by-play announcer for all six home games, and he will be joined in the booth by former FCS All-American and NFL veteran Clay Harbor as the analyst. "We are thrilled to have Illinois State Football games aired live on Marquee Sports Network again this fall," Illinois State Interim Director of Athletics Dr. Jeri Beggs said. "Having our games on in the Chicagoland area and beyond helps us connect with our Midwest alumni and showcase Redbird Football to future Redbirds. That type of exposure is crucial to the success of the football program and the department, and we look forward to fans tuning in to support us when they can't be in the stands on game day." Broadcasts will include the team's home opener against Dayton on September 2 (Noon), its annual Mid-America Classic contest against Dayton on September 2 (Noon), the October 7 matchup against defending FCS national champion South Dakota State (6:30 p.m.), the annual Homecoming contest against Indiana State (2 p.m.) on October 14 and home finale against Murray State on November 11 (11 a.m.). ISU's Family Weekend game against Lindenwood on September 23 (Noon) and the October 28 game against UNI (Noon) will be carried exclusively on ESPN3/+ as part of the Missouri Valley Football Conference's network package.
