UPDATE: The Pittsburgh Penguins have released a joint statement on behalf of the Pens, NESN and AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh.
"With the recent changes at AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh, Warner Bros Discovery, the Pittsburgh Penguins and NESN have been working collaboratively to ensure that fans have access to their favorite teams this fall. Discussions are progressing well, and we expect exciting news in the coming weeks."

The sale of the regional sports network by Warner Bros. Discovery Sports is expected to close "within the next several weeks," according to the report.
